Category C & C+E Courses Who needs to take the Category C test? Anyone who has passed their car driving test and wants to drive a goods vehicle over 7.5 Tonnes and is over 18 years old.
What do I need to do to take the test? You need to obtain provisional entitlement on your licence for Category C - see our page "What to Do". You will need to undertake a driver medical to obtain your licence and pass theory tests prior to your practical training - we can arrange everything for you.
What am I entitled to drive after I pass my practical test? You can drive any rigid vehicle from 3.5 Tonnes up to 32 Tonnes with a trailer no heavier than 750kg.

What do I need? To take the C+E trailer test you must have a current (Category C) licence with C+E provisional entitlement on it.
What am I entitled to drive after I pass my practical test? Any large goods vehicle over 7.5tonne with a trailer over 750kgs e.g Artic/drawbar
